Christian Herald (Illinois)

In the 1860s Illinois members of the Stone-Campbell Movement had a variety of Illinois periodicals to read. The Christian Herald, published at Wapella, Illinois (DeWitt County), edited by Dudley Downs and John W. Karr, began publication in June, 1864. The Gospel Echo absorbed the Christian Herald in 1869.

The PDFs of this periodical are from the originals in the collections of Christian Theological Seminary and the Disciples of Christ Historical Society.
