Elder R. Brown, Port Gibson, Mississippi, is the first African American minister to receive a pension from the Ministerial Relief fund. (May 1932, page 3.)

The last issue in this volume announces the retirement of Joel Bair Lehman and his wife, Ethey Burlingame, from Southern Christian Institute, after 41 years of service. (July 1933, pages 14, 15.)
