Abstract

A review of Douglas A. Foster's biography of Alexander Campbell by Keith Watkins, Christian Theological Seminary, Emeritus.

Author Bio

Keith Watkins is a minister ordained in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). For thirty-three years he was professor of worship and parish ministry at Christian Theological Seminary. He participated actively in ecumenical activities focused on the renewal of worship and Christian unity. Since retiring, he has published histories of Christian Theological Seminary, Yakama Christian Mission, and the Consultation on Church Union. In 2020 he published Talking About God When People Are Afraid: Dialogues on the Incarnation the Year That Doctor King and Senator Kennedy Were Killed. He lives in Indianapolis.
