Louisiana members of the Stone-Campbell Movement during the first third of the twentieth century published several different periodicals within the state, mostly for the congregations in the state.
The Louisiana Christian, published at Crowley in 1904, was one of at least three periodicals published in Louisiana during that time.
These periodicals include
- The Christian Messenger published at Cheneyville in 1928. Edited by Marion Browning. DCHS has three issues of this monthly.
- Louisiana Christian published in New Orleans and Lake Charles from 1902 to 1906. Only one issue is extant.
- Louisiana Christian published in Crowley in 1904. Only one issue is extant. This was a semimonthly newsletter, edited by W. O. Stephens. It may be the same periodical as the one published in New Orleans and Lake Charles with the same title although the editor, frequency and pagination are different.
