Louisiana members of the Stone-Campbell Movement during the first third of the twentieth century published several different periodicals within the state, mostly for the congregations in the state.
The Louisiana Christian, published at Lake Charles in 1906, was one of at least three periodicals published in Louisiana during that time.
These periodicals include
- The Christian Messenger published at Cheneyville in 1928. Edited by Marion Browning. DCHS has three issues of this monthly.
- Louisiana Christian published from 1902 to 1906, 1911-1913 and again in the 1930s from New Orleans, Jennings and Lake Charles.
- Louisiana Christian published in Crowley in 1904. Only one issue is extant. This was a semimonthly newsletter, edited by W. O. Stephens. It may be the same periodical as the one published in New Orleans, Jennings and Lake Charles with the same title although the editor, frequency and pagination are different.
